At first I was really nervous about security because it was so easy to get in (all you had to do was open your coat) but I felt better once I saw all of the ninja-like security guards posted around the borders and even on top of the Lincoln memorial. The only potentially scary thing about the whole event was the lowflying planes that seemed to fly over every couple minutes. Papa said that the airport was nearby so that must be why there were so many of them. At first all of the people would look at them nervously but eventually we got used to it.
The acts and speaches were all so amazing. It was really weird however to see Jack Black and George Lopez talking so seriously. Thats all I can blog about now because we have to go get tickets to see Aretha Franklin sing.
Okay. Can I just say that I SWEAR I saw yall on television yesterday... we have been GLUED to the tele, tivoing everything like crazy... and being crazy jealous that you're there and we are NOT!!! So,many thanks for allowing us to live vicariously through you and your experience. I LOVE BABY BARACK!!!He's just as cute in plastic as he is in real life... Who knew?!?!?! WOW- I can't believe you're there... experiencing it all. Now I wish I had crashed at Tiffany's and joined in the madness. Take lots of picts and keep those blogs coming. At present, they are my "saving grace." Say hi to your girls for me... I LOVE "BB" (i.e. Baby Barack) eating the M&Ms... that's classic. Stay warm... and say "hi" to Queen Re-Re for me.

oh yeah... tell Riley the planes overhead made me very nervous as well... What's up with that? Shouldn't that be protected airspace?!?! I consoled myself by thinking they were fighter jets- ready to take any "obama-haters" down with a single missile!
